“The Recordings of the Middle East” album cover of my new fave band, The Middle East. No words necessary other than it’s beautiful. Cause we’ve all been there, am I right?

With one ear always (seriously!) listening to the background music in movies, tv shows, and commercials, it’s rare that my viewing experience will be completely hijacked not once, twice, three, but four times to pause and track down the, uh, tracks complimenting the scene at hand.  Crazy, Stupid, Love did just that, to the point where I simply had to learn more about the music supervisor (a first for me, in a week of firsts!)  Mad props to George Drakoulias, who also worked on The Hangover (also an awesome soundtrack, for very different reasons), Lost (hello–title of this blog!), and Greenberg (never seen but won my respect when LCD Soundsystem was featured in the trailer).

Enjoy.

“Blood” The Middle East

{great, great song}

“The Heart’s A Lonely Hunter” Thievery Corporation feat. David Bryne

“Animal (Mark Ronson remix)” Miike Snow

“Almanac” The Acorn

Ahhh, how appropriate. A common Kadie expression of exasperation & annoyance, primarily directed at myself (three “I Knows” in a row, too!). The kicker is I usually do really know…but choose to ignore?
